Committment

When we take a look at our lives we will find that we all have made many commitments over our life. Truth be told we have made so many commitments that there are probably some that went unfulfilled on our part and that is ok to some people.
Now when we look at commitment whether it be a husband and wife, a player to a team, or God to you. Commitment is what God is looking for from each one of us. The problem that we often run into is that when the commitment does not fit our present desire most are willing to forget about their commitment to God. Why is it that we as humans sometimes fall short of our commitments? One might say that the level you keep your commitments is the level of man you are. I can see why some would say this and in my opinion, it might even be truthful. However, we must come to our senses and look at our reality.
Man in all of his fragility cannot do this without the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is so critical that we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in all things, not just those things that are important or convenient to us but, more importantly, those things that are important to God.
As I come to a close for this blog post I want you to consider this thought "If God was willing to give His only Son as a commitment to you what is it that you are committing to Him? I encourage you to evaluate your level of commitment to God and if you find areas of weakness would you please take time to ask Him who can do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think!
